The KP government announced to celebrate Eid with simplicity.
PESHAWAR: Chief Minister's Adviser on Information Ajmal Khan Wazir on Saturday said that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated with simplicity in the province due to PIA plane crash and coronavirus epidemic.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Ajmal Wazir appealed to the people of KP to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with simplicity and show solidarity with the coronavirus patients.
"We are going through a very critical phase of the epidemic which is unprecedented in recent history. The provincial government is working day and night in the fight against COVD-19.
"Everything we are doing is for the security of the people of KP, we can only win this war with the help of the nation," he added.
He also announced the dedication of frontline workers, including doctors and health workers, in the fight against the corona virus on Eid day.
Earlier, CM Mahmood had canceled his visit to his hometown Swat during the Eid holidays and decided to celebrate the festival at his official residence in Peshawar.
Mahmood Khan appealed to the people to stay at home, celebrate Eid with their families and strictly follow the principle of social distance.
